Meet the Team
Chris Collins has been a local Kelowna resident since 1981 venturing away briefly on exchange to Mexico and to university. He graduated with a Master of Science degree in physiology which was research-based and resulted in publications in scientific journals. Upon completion of the his graduate studies Chris travelled to Pomona, California to obtain a strength and conditioning certification (CSCS). Armed with this credential and his science background Chris established Okanagan Peak Performance to enhance both the enjoyment and performance of athletes in sport. Today Okanagan Peak Performance is the resource for athletic conditioning and education. Subscribing to relevant journals and attending sports medicine conferences allows Chris to pass along cutting edge training modalities and information to coaches and athletes throughout Western Canada.
"In regards to my own active pursuits, I’m a former national level natural bodybuilder and provincial swimmer. When not training our athletes I enjoy downhill skiing, mountain biking, playing squash and spending time with my family."
My name is Trevor Lofstrom and I was born in Nelson, B.C. but have grown up in West Kelowna since 2006. I played baseball, hockey, and lacrosse growing up but ultimately choose baseball. That eventually led to going down to the United States to continue playing baseball. I played locally for the Okanagan Athletics until I graduated high school. I went to El Paso Community College right after high school before coming back to play at Okanagan College, I then finally attended Southwest Baptist University in Missouri where I obtained a Bachelors of Science in Psychology with an emphasis in Sports Enhancement degree. The reason why I got into this industry is because I love helping people achieve their goals and promoting an active healthy lifestyle. While I was still an athlete I really enjoyed the process of working out and achieving performance and strength goals. I also really enjoy working with athletes to help their performance in their respective sports. I am currently working towards my Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). In my time away from the gym I enjoy listening to country music, spending time with friends, hiking, roller blading and golfing.
We are always looking for great people to add to our Peak Performance team
